Reasons for this blog

First of all, thank you for visiting my blog. Secondly, in this article I want to share with you my reasons for starting this blog as well as to bring you to enlightment regarding your skin, how to take care of your skin and of the myths and hidden secrets that the cosmetic industry are hiding from us; the consumer.

I strongly believe that knowledge is power. In this case, the power that you have to:

* understand and  take care of your skin
* make the right informative decition when it comes to choosing the correct skincare product
* younger looking healthy skin regardless your age

WHO AM I
My name is Karel Vermeulen. I am a highly paid successfull entrepeneur with my own beauty salon; Male Wellbeing Thereapeutic Treatments (www.malewellbeing.co.za); situated in Mouillie Point Cape Town that I started in December 2006.

In May 2008 I got my light bulp idea to create and have my own skincare product range. Being a therapist by trade with no chemical or formulating background, it took me 2 years with a lot of research and studing with Aromantic in Scotland to learn  the basics and secrets of the skincare industry.  In July 2010 Karl de L'Eau Natural Skincare were launced, my own skincare brand. All my current products are conveniently available on the web on www.skincarekdl.com.

Reasons for this blog
1. With all the research and self study that I did, I was shocked to learn the many hidden bad secrets that the cosmetic industry are hiding from the consumer. This blog is to expose those lies, and secrets to enable you to make the correct informative choice regarding your skin care products and skin care regimen.

2. I would love to help you in taking care of your skin according to your skin type by sharing and giving uselful skin care tips and suggestions that are easy to follow and apply.

3. I would like to keep you informed regardinig the process and growth of Karl de L'Eau Natural Skincare as I believe that my story can be inspiring for you NOT to give up on your dreams and live the life and be the perosn  that God / Uiverse has intended for you to be.

You are what you eat

Skin care Tip #2
1.      YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT (FOOD AND VITMAMINS FOR A HEALTHY SKIN)
Your skin tends to reflect what you eat.  What you put into your body is just as important to skin health as what you put on your skin. You cannot separate the two.

Healthy skin is smooth, soft, evenly toned-in short beautiful! Unhealthy skin can be defined by its rough texture, abnormal coloration, dryness and oiliness, and skin that are inappropriate for you age.

Try to eat a balanced diet rich in vitamins, and antioxidants.  Emphasize fresh fruits and vegetables, healthy fats, and lean proteins, and drink plenty of pure water every day.

Top 10 Wrinkle Fighting Foods
Leafy green veggies like spinachA great source of the antioxidant, lutein.  Lutein helps keep the skin healthy, hydrated and elastic.  The recommended daily intake for leafy green vegetables is about 10mb or 4oz.
Beansare an antioxidant as well, and red beans are the best choice.  They help fight free radicals and boost your collagen.
Tomatoes – red, juicy tomatoes are a good antioxidant as well.  When cooked, lycopene is formed.  Lycopene lowers the risk for cancer and it helps keep your skin healthy and younger –looking.
Turkeya great source of vitamin B.  Like any other meat, it has protein.  Naturally,

Beetroot this vegetable is fibre-enrich and low in calories.  Beetroot is an antioxidant containing anthocyanins which support collagen growth.
Chocolates rich in polyphenol which helps the body get rid of toxins that cause aging.  It also protects the body from harmful UV damage.  Dark rich chocolate has less sugar and other additives, and in moderation is a delicious way to improve your health and skin.
 Salmon contains Omega 3 and protein.  Both are very beneficial for your skin.  Apples – eat them with skin on apply them over your face.  Either way, you reap many health benefits.  Apples are rich in alpha-hydroxy acid and fibre
